I am Daniel E. Miller, a junior here at UNC. I was born in Raleigh, and I have lived in various parts of the triangle my entire life. Here at UNC I am double majoring in Economics and Chinese which I have enjoyed tremendously thus far. Some of my favorite experiences here at UNC have included studying abroad in China and working with various student organizations. I went abroad to China the fall semester of my sophomore year where I primarily resided in Xiamen, but traveled to a few other cities including Shanghai to see the World Expo. On campus, I serve as a Team Leader for AIESEC’s Business Development team and the Student Coordinator for the Chinese House Living Learning Community. I also work for SafeWalk and am actively involved in the Undergraduate Consulting Club and the Mix Martial Arts club. In my free time, I enjoy composing music and writing fiction, but career interests are less artistic. After graduation, I am hoping to pursue a career in management consulting. Therefore, I am very grateful that I was able to develop my understanding of business through the UNC Business Essentials (UBE) program, and I look forward to serving as a Student Ambassador for UBE this year.
