During the program, all we students care about is the finish line. All we are interested in is making it through and passing the program. The Business Essentials program means business

Going into the Business Essentials program for the first time, I was under the impression I could sit down at my favorite Starbucks table and crank out a few units with ease. However, after completing the first two units I realize that the UBE program means business, which it very well should. As UBE students we are getting every bang for our buck. You cannot and should not trick yourself into thinking that this program is a piece of cake. Why? Because business is not a piece of cake! The UNC Business Essentials program is opportunity in a nutshell. For non-business majors like me, the UBE program offers the convenience of business certification without the typical business major’s course load. We will be exposed to accounting, economics, marketing, business operations and communication. This crash course on business basics opens us up to a world of knowledge and understanding that most non-business majors are unaware of.
