The UNC Business Essentials program is great for preparing for the business world and building a steadfast resume. But let’s be honest, none of that matters until you finish the program. During the program, all we students care about is the finish line. All we are interested in is making it through and passing the program. Going into the Business Essentials program for the first time, I was under the impression I could sit down at my favorite Starbucks table and crank out a few units with ease. However, after completing the first two units I realize that the UBE program means business, which it very well should. As UBE students we are getting every bang for our buck. For non-business majors like me, the UBE program offers the convenience of business certification without the typical business major’s course load. We will be exposed to accounting, economics, marketing, business operations and communication.
