A couple months ago, I sat down at Starbucks with my laptop and a tall Passion Fruit Iced Tea Lemonade in hand, ready to knock out the first module of the UNC Business Essentials program. At the time, I thought the program would be a general overview of basic business concepts, something to get my feet wet in business terminology and principles. The Benefits of the Online Education Model of UNC Business Essentials Program
Have you ever taken a class at UNC where it seemed like the Professor might have been a world-record holder for most words spoken per minute? I know that I’ve had multiple classes where the Professor lectured at such a rapid pace, it was physically impossible to get down every important detail and concept that was being covered. Through UNC Business Essentials, I gained a multitude of knowledge in various subjects. Read More

It’s one thing to know that you lack knowledge on a certain subject matter, say, quantum astrophysics, and another to not even know that there is a knowledge gap to be filled. For instance, although I was familiar with the economics content in the Economics and Finance module, I knew nothing about the Six Sigma process, the bullwhip effect, GAAP, or the 5 bases for segmentation in the other modules.
