Hello everyone!  I am Michael Johnson from the class of 2014.  When people ask me where I am from my typical answer is, “well, I am from a lot of places, but I call Chapel Hill home.”  My family moved to Chapel Hill when I was 14 years old, I attended UNC for undergrad as a business major, and I have resided in various cities around North Carolina since then. 

After graduating in 2007 I spent three months backpacking through Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji with my then girlfriend (who became my wife a year ago).  Turns out, if you can spend virtually every single moment with a person for three months, then you can really make the relationship work long term.  Who knew?

I spent the majority of my career as the Marketing and Communications Manager for a regional benefits consulting firm in Raleigh but I realized I would need an MBA for my career to progress.  I’m thrilled to return to UNC and go Tar Heels!
