New Picture (7)Hi Everyone! Apa kabar! I am Emmanuel Jefferson, a first-year MBA student at UNC Kenan Flagler. I am originally from Jakarta, Indonesia. Indonesia is one of the most diverse countries in the world. With the 4th most populous country in the world, 17,000 + islands, 300+ languages, and one of the fastest growing economies in the world, it is one of the top destinations that you need to visit in your life. If you are interested to visit Indonesia, don’t hesitate to contact me and I’ll show you around the traditional culture, food and modern day of Indonesia.

I came to United States right after I graduate from high school. I graduated from Purdue University (Boiler Up!!!) with a bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering. Following my graduation, I worked at Gourmet Kitchen Inc., a food manufacturing in Chicago, Illinois. I started out as a production supervisor and then move to their production planning department. As an Industrial Engineer, I love dealing with optimization of employee and system procedure. However, to be a more complete business decision-maker, I would like to learn how to optimize the finance of a company and that’s exactly what I study here at UNC.

MBA life at UNC has been a lot of fun. I have the chance to meet and to work with other students that are coming from different background, culture and interest. Right now, I served as the VP Social of International Business Association (IBA), where I had the pleasure to coordinate events such as Latin Night, International Food Festival and Global Night.

I love culture, food, music (any kind!), and comedy movies. Lastly, I’m a big fan of Manchester United!
