UNC Kenan-Flagler Blogs

DeAndré White

WhiteHi everyone!  My name is DeAndré White.  I am a first-year MBA student at UNC Kenan-Flagler hailing from Suffolk, Virginia (some of the locals like to call it the peanut capital of the world.)

I attended Duke University (that’s right), about ten miles up the street, where I majored in Sociology and received a certificate in Markets and Management.  I also had the great opportunity play football (that’s right) where I earned the distinction of being the youngest person to start a game in the ACC my freshman year.  After graduating in 2006 I worked at American Express for three years as an analyst managing outsourced partner relationships.  When the excitement of that position was too much to bear, I moved to Philadelphia and created a venture aimed at providing concierge services to prison inmates.

I am a huge Baltimore Ravens fan and during the fall I spend the majority of my Saturdays and Sundays switching between football games.  I am the Tillman legacy representative and I will be focusing in entrepreneurship and marketing.  Feel free to stop by whenever you want.  I promise you will enjoy it.
