Senior Associate Director,
MBA Admissions

Hi, I’m Alison Jesse and I’ve been a member of the admissions team at UNC Kenan-Flagler since 1998. Before moving to Chapel Hill, I lived in Williamsburg, VA and worked in undergraduate admissions at The College of William & Mary. Growing up in Northern Virginia and going to school in the Midwest, it only seems appropriate that I manage applications from the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest. I also have the Southwest in my territory.

Before launching my career in admissions, I lived in Germany and Switzerland, completing my masters degree in German language and literature and teaching ESL and German in a hotel school. It’s great to return to Europe as the region manager and visit some old haunts. Typically, you will find us in London, Paris, Frankfurt, Milan, Madrid and Istanbul at least every other year.

When I’m not on the road for Kenan-Flagler or reading applications, I like to spend time with my daughter Ellie, who is 18 and will be a freshman at Elon University next year. My oldest, Sam, is a graduate of Middlebury College and currently works for Digitas in Norwalk, CT. This year, I am also chair of Project Graduation, a fabulous all night party for our high school seniors when they graduate in June.

I’m an avid basketball fan, something that just happens to you when you move to Chapel Hill! I’ve lived a lot of places, but nothing beats our town, two hours from the beach and mountains, and full of wonderful bookstores, restaurants and music clubs. I hope you will enjoy visiting and studying at UNC as much as I have enjoyed my time here.
