On April 14, UNC Kenan-Flagler hosted a reception connecting scholarship and fellowship donors with their student recipients at the School’s Kenan Center. This is the first reception of its kind held at UNC Kenan-Flagler, designed to help donors see the impact of their giving. Nearly 100 people attended the event, including donors, faculty, staff and 60 student scholarship and fellowship recipients. IMPACT recently caught up with recent UNC Kenan-Flagler graduate Howard Lee (BSBA ’10) to discuss his new business role and growing hip-hop career. Lee is currently in Korea promoting his new album release, entitled State and Soul. What factors led you to major in business at UNC? Honoring Decades of Service

Chevron Inspires Student’s Philanthropy
As a result of Chevron Corporation’s philanthropy, UNC Kenan-Flagler student Joel Thomas (MBA ’11) has been inspired to do the same. Thomas is the recipient of the Chevron Corporation MBA Fellowship, chosen for meeting a variety of criteria, including an interest in pursuing a career in the energy industry.
