Reunion 2010

September 13, 2010 By unc kenan-flagler

UNC Kenan-Flagler Reunion Weekend is rapidly approaching!  On October 22-24, we will welcome all business school graduates back to Chapel Hill for a wonderful weekend of reconnecting with former classmates, faculty and staff.   Our Kenan-Flagler Reunion Weekend is widely considered as one of the best reunion events on the UNC campus, and we invite all alumni to attend.

The weekend will kick off on Friday morning with a golf tournament at Finley, followed later by our big “Barbecue and Bluegrass” reception in front of McColl Building, where many current and former faculty will be in attendance.  Later that evening, the MBA Student Association will host alumni at He’s Not Here on Franklin Street.

On Saturday, Dean Jim Dean will deliver his “State of the School” address, and Professor Emeritus Rollie Tillman will present the history of UNC Kenan-Flagler. Professor Bob Connolly will direct our service project for AnySoldier.com  where we will assemble packages and letters for troops overseas.   Four of our top faculty will lead seminars on global business, entrepreneurship, the generational workplace and a finance session in our new Capital Markets Lab.  An afternoon session will also feature Kenan-Flagler’s consulting curriculum.  And, for those who want to watch the UNC at Miami football game, a big screen will be available in the Kenan Center to catch all the action.  All during the day, great food and drinks will be provided – along with a photographer to take class and individual photos.

On Saturday evening we will introduce a new Reunion activity – “Roll the Dice on Franklin Street” – where we will have our own Kenan-Flagler casino at Top of the Hill, complete with blackjack, roulette, poker, craps and fabulous prizes.   On Sunday morning, Reunion Weekend will culminate with a wonderful brunch in the historical DuBose House at the Rizzo Conference Center.

Reunion Weekend is totally family friendly, with experienced childcare providers available on Saturday.  We’ll have a bounce house, face painters, a magician, indoor movies and games for kids of all ages.

We look forward to seeing you there! Visit our Reunion Weekend website for all the details and to register.  Contact Catherine Nichols at 919.962.3596 or catherine_nichols@unc.edu with questions.
